About: Chandler Desktop is a standards-based personal information manager (PIM) built around small group collaboration and a core set of information management workflows modeled on Inbox usage patterns and David Allen's GTD methodology. Changes: Support was added for editing and viewing items in separate detail view windows. Support was added for automatically checking for updates to Chandler.
About: Pentabarf is conference planning software written in Ruby (using the Rails framework) and PL/pgSQL. Changes: A statistics page has been added to the localization controller, where you can see the state of the localization for the languages marked as localized. The feature to reset a password has been changed to only require the login name to reset your password. The Recent Changes feature has been completely rewritten, resulting in a much nicer presentation.
About: urlwatch is a script intended to help you watch URLs and get notified (via email) of any changes. The change notification will include the URL that has changed and a unified diff of what has changed. The script works out of a single directory, so there is no need to install anything. State files are kept in the same folder. The script supports stripping parts of a page that are always changing through the use of a filter hook function. It is typically run as a cronjob. Changes: This version adds support for sending a correct User-agent header to the remote HTTP server.
About: Mac Mass Mailer is a fully-featured mass mailer that supports message templates and a recipient database. It offers everything you need to create and maintain mailing lists for different needs and send mass messages directly from your computer at a very high speed. It uses Apple Mail's message delivery framework to deliver your messages. The recipient database is fully customizable. You can add as many recipient fields as you want and use them in message templates for the purpose of personalizing your messages. Changes: Apple Address Book group entries can now be imported. Automatic detection of Unicode text encoding in the import wizard was fixed. A problem with status bar refreshing after performing an import was fixed. A problem was fixed in which the scroll bar was not shown in the group list when importing from Address Book.
About: TaoCrypt is a portable, fast, cryptographic library for most needs. Its features include one way hash functions: SHA-1, MD2, MD4, MD5, RIPEMD-160; message authentication codes: HMAC; block ciphers: DES, Triple-DES, AES, Blowfish, Twofish; stream ciphers: ARC4; public key cryptography: RSA, DSA, Diffie-Hellman; password based key derivation: PBKDF2 from PKCS #5; a pseudo random number generator and large integer support. There is also support for Base 16/64 encoding/decoding, DER encoding/decoding, and X.509 processing. Changes: This is the third release of TaoCrypt and includes bugfixes, speed optimizations, and increased portability.
About: CELT (Code-Excited Lapped Transform) is an ultra-low delay audio codec designed for realtime transmission of high quality speech and audio. This is meant to close the gap between traditional speech codecs (such as Speex) and traditional audio codecs (such as Vorbis). Changes: This consists mainly of quality tuning. Some listening tests based on that version were completed for the Comparison page.
About: Binbot is an easy-to-use newsreader for downloading binaries from Usenet. It was designed to browse large binary newsgroups efficiently, and to download huge files quickly. It supports all common article encodings, multiple servers, and NZB files. It also includes built-in access to Web-based Usenet search engines, and automatic unrar, unzip, and unsplit capabilities. Changes: This is the first non-beta release of Binbot 2.0. It features enhanced memory management, support for incomplete NZB files, and a better file and directory selection dialog (in the Mac version only). It also fixes a number of minor bugs.
About: Tine 2.0 is an effort to create a usable and stable replacement for eGroupWare. Taking other popular projects like KDE and Typo3 as prototypes, the Tine 2.0 effort refactors eGroupWare from scratch. Changes: The biggest change of this milestone is the improved addressbook dialog. The CRM module keeps you updated of new and modified leads by email now. Administrators can enable self registration for new users, call setup.php to get all needed tables installed, and are able to manage accounts and groups now. The backed improved too. All tables are now prefixed, which means that you can install multiple instances of Tine 2.0 in one database. LDAP authentication and reading accounts and groups from LDAP is working now, and most of the code is now covered by unit tests.
About: BarPanel is a powerful desktop panel that is extensible through plugins and is fully themeable. Barpanel is a continuation of the work done in the Foopanel project. Changes: This is a quick follow-up release to 0.3.0, fixing the obvious issue of the panel not starting properly on Ubuntu 8.04. Also, all plugins are now ported to the new internal plugin API, and they now work properly when configured as part of the panel.
About: Freeway is an advanced eCommerce platform selling services events, subscriptions, and products. It is backed up with E and SMS marketing, a CMS, and solid CRM features. The admin tool is AJAX-based. Changes: The Joomla integration was improved so that Freeway is fully functional inside Joomla, including single-sign-on and user synchronization. Downloadable products have been enhanced. An alert messenging process has been created. Considerable work has been completed to optimize and streamline the events checkout process. The refund report has been updated. Several other significant improvements have been made, as well as some bugfixes.
About: StarPlot is a GTK-based program, written in C++, which can be used interactively to view three-dimensional perspective charts of stars. Charts can be recentered, rotated, or zoomed in or out with a mouse click (this can also, of course, be done via dialog boxes for more precision). Stars may be viewed (or ignored) by spectral class and absolute magnitude. Other features include support for both celestial and galactic coordinate systems, the ability to display extended non-stellar objects, and a pop-up Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. StarPlot is also packaged with starconvert, a utility which converts line-oriented stellar data records to StarPlot format. Most star data files available on the Internet can be converted this way if a short file describing the original file format is provided to starconvert. Changes: StarPlot now permits the use of parsecs instead of light-years as the primary distance unit, and also can show distances in astronomical units and miles or kilometers at close range. A new button permits the chart to be set to the orientation of a volume of space as seen from Earth. A new dialog box makes it easy to calculate the distance between two arbitrary points in space. More documentation has been written. Some bugs preventing compilation with modern g++ versions have also been fixed.
About: Sleep is a Perl-inspired scripting language for the Java platform. Sleep has its own library of functions for performing common tasks as well as being able to utilize the Java class library. Sleep includes closures, coroutines, built-in debugging, and it is very extensible. Changes: This release enhances arrays with a list implementation and additional operations. JSR223 and javax.script support was added. Inline functions now restore squashed anonymous arguments. A means to invoke an arbitrary closure as an inline function was added.
About: Joomla! is an award-winning content management system (CMS) that can help you build Web sites and other powerful online applications. The JumpBox for Joomla saves a great deal of time by capturing the experience of a skilled IT admin in a package that's very easy to use and provides a production quality Joomla! installation very quickly. This JumpBox is for the Joomla! 1.0.x series of releases. A JumpBox for Joomla 1.5.x is also available. Changes: Joomla has been updated to Joomla version 1.0.15. Restoring from 1.0RC1 and newer JumpBox backups should work.
About: Gnasher creates SHA1 hash files for local repository Maven2 dependencies. It also produces the missing pom metadata files for the same dependencies if they are missing, as well as producing SHA1 hash files for those poms. Changes: This version supports configuration when the local repository location is other than the default.
About: CmsdAm is a simple, secure, and fast content management system framework with a core API specially designed for people with some knowledge of PHP that want to create simple dynamic sites quickly. You can modify the "template/index.php" skeleton file to include sections, plugins, and to use cmsdAm API. There is also the beginning of a simple administration interface that you can use to create your templates and sections. Changes: Major feature enhancements were added. Major bugs were fixed. PHP5 compatibility was added. More core classes were added. Site administration was started. Creation of cmsdam installation procedures was begun. More features were tested.
About: DataCleaner is a solution for businesses and organizations wishing to measure and increase the quality of their data. DataCleaner includes functionality to profile and compare data, to validate data against business rules, and to monitor the progression of these measurements over time. It includes both a standalone desktop application for exploring and defining the data quality effort and a Web application for continuous data quality deployments. Changes: Dictionary lookup validation was added. Drill-to-details features were added for exploring profiling results. The metadata and data layer was replaced with MetaModel. Various bugs were fixed.
About: shwild is a simple, platform-independent library that implements shell-compatible wildcard pattern matching. It is implemented in C/C++, expressing a C API with a C++ wrapper. Changes: This release addresses the long-standing, hard-to-reproduce bug in the range parsing. This now makes 0.9 complete, and development/release of 0.10, which will facilitate the return of match location information information, can proceed.
About: Danlann is a command line photo Web gallery generator. It takes text gallery description files and photos as an input and produces a nice looking Web gallery of photos. A generated Web gallery can be efficiently uploaded to a hosting server using rsync or an FTP client with mirror capability. Changes: Pages are generated using the StringTemplate library, and this allows easier template customization. A photo index is generated without tables on the album page. Links in album and photo descriptions are parsed and converted into HTML links. CSS simplification and improvements were made. EXIF displaying was reimplemented using JQuery. The idea of multiple photo views was discarded.
About: DJ Native Swing allows you to easily integrate some native components into Swing applications, and provides some native utilities to enhance Swing's APIs. The main focus is the integration of a native Web browser and Flash Player using a Swing-like API. All the threading issues and general integration headaches are handled automatically. It uses SWT under the hood, and thus should work everywhere SWT can be placed inside a Swing component. Changes: This release changes the whole API to make the framework more consistent and easy to use, and improves documentation with Javadoc. There are also bugfixes and new functionalities.
About: SHOGUN is a machine learning toolbox whose focus is on large scale kernel methods and especially on Support Vector Machines (SVM). It provides a generic SVM object interfacing to several different SVM implementations, all making use of the same underlying, efficient kernel implementations. Apart from SVMs and regression, SHOGUN also features a number of linear methods like Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), Linear Programming Machine (LPM), (Kernel) Perceptrons, and algorithms to train hidden Markov models. SHOGUN can be used from within C++, Matlab, R, Octave, and Python. Changes: This release contains several major enhancements and bugfixes. Experimental support for the modular R interface was added. All python-modular examples have been ported to r-modular. The "send_command" legacy is no longer necessary; numbers can be used as such and don't have to be given as strings. All examples for R, Python, Octave, and Matlab have been converted to the new syntax. The command line interface has been resurrected and basic functionality was restored. The documentation was updated and a number of bugs have been fixed.
About: The Ecere SDK is a cross-platform toolkit for building software applications. It currently runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X (through X11). With the Ecere SDK, you can develop applications once and deploy them on all supported platforms alongside a lightweight runtime environment. It introduces eC, an object oriented language derived from and fully compatible with C, compromising neither runtime performance nor ease of use. A built-in 3D engine supporting both Direct3D and OpenGL is fully integrated. Changes: An undo/redo buffer was added to the code editor. Installation on Windows Vista was made easier. libpng usage was improved. X support was improved. IDE improvements were made. Numerous bugs were fixed.
About: CCIL-MT is a Web-based tool to send an email message to a list of recipients. It uses PHP 4.x/5.x and MySQL 4.x/5.x.
About: Amanda is a popular network backup and archiving software that protects multiple machines running various versions of Linux, Unix, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It supports tapes, disks, optical media, and changers. Changes: 'amfetchdump -p', an amtapetype crash, and a planner crash have been fixed. An 'amadmin force' with strategy incronly will force a level 0 on the next run. Check has been configured to be sure it found gnutar. Other small bugs have been fixed.
About: Email sends email to remote SMTP servers via the command line, which makes it useful in cron jobs. It will send to any RFC standard remote ESMTP server, is TLS/SSL enabled, and will allow you to encrypt, sign, and design your message on the fly. It has the capability to use signature files with dynamic options, address book functionality, and users can also attach pictures, binary files, documents, or whatever they want. It is completely compatible with GNUPG for encryption and signing, and is easy to configure and use. Changes: Compilation problems in Cygwin have been fixed.
About: WP Clipart is an attempt to make a useful clip art package of public domain images for use in word processors. It includes an optional cross-platform viewer/editor written with Python/GTK. The collection contains non-transparent PNG images, scaled down images, mid-tones expanded for inkjet print quality, etc. It is suitable for documents as well as Web graphics, but also has business application (credit cards, promo graphics) and educational uses (pictures of all US presidents, all country flags alphabetically listed, all US states, historical figures, and a sign language alphabet). Changes: Included clip art has been updated to 21,005 images. The Windows installer package has been corrected to properly enable browsing/editing of JPEG files as well as PNG.
